Teratai: Asian Journal of Children’s Literature invites academics, researchers, educators, writers, and practitioners to submit their original scholarly works for publication. The journal focuses on the study of children’s literature in Asian and cross-cultural contexts, with particular emphasis on the educational role of children’s literature.

Scope and Topics

We welcome manuscripts related to, but not limited to, the following topics:

• Children’s literature as a medium for learning

• Educational values in children’s stories (moral, character, social, and cultural values)

• Children’s literature and early literacy development

• Children’s literature based on Asian local wisdom and culture

• Analysis of children’s storybooks and picture books

• Children’s literature in multicultural and inclusive education

• Adaptation of children’s literature for digital media and learning

• The role of children’s literature in language development

• Critical and theoretical studies of children’s literature and education

Types of Manuscripts

• Research articles

• Conceptual or theoretical papers

• Case studies and best practices

• Literature reviews

Submission Guidelines

• Manuscripts must be original and have not been previously published

• Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian

• Authors must follow the journal’s author guidelines and template

• All submissions will undergo a peer-review process
