Teratai: Asian Journal of Children’s Literature is a scholarly journal dedicated to critical studies and academic research on children’s literature in Asia and from a global perspective. The journal serves as an interdisciplinary forum for researchers, academics, educators, and scholars of children’s literature to explore texts, contexts, and practices of children’s literature across diverse media and cultural traditions.

Teratai publishes research articles, theoretical studies, comparative analyses, and critical reviews addressing, among others, traditional and modern children’s literature, folklore, picture books, digital children’s literature, cross-media adaptations, representations of identity and cultural values, as well as educational, ideological, and developmental issues in children’s literature. Through rigorous academic standards and openness to diverse perspectives, Teratai aims to enrich the field of children’s literature studies and to promote the development of inclusive and sustainable children’s literacy.
