Publication Ethics

Mangun: Journal of Community Engagement upholds strict publication ethics to ensure scientific integrity and professionalism in all published articles. All authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to adhere to the following principles:

  1. Originality and Plagiarism:
    Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism, whether partial or full, is strictly prohibited.

  2. Compliance with Research Ethics:
    Research involving humans, animals, or communities must comply with applicable ethical standards, including obtaining approval from an ethics committee if required.

  3. Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest:
    Editors and reviewers must maintain manuscript confidentiality and avoid potential conflicts of interest. Authors should disclose any relevant conflicts of interest.

  4. Author Responsibilities:
    Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data, interpretation of results, and credibility of references used. All contributors must be acknowledged according to their contributions.

  5. Peer Review Process:
    Mangun applies a fair and transparent peer review process. Reviewers are expected to provide objective and constructive evaluations.

  6. Retraction and Corrections:
    If errors or ethical violations are discovered post-publication, the journal will take appropriate action, including corrections, retractions, or statements, following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
