Political Representation is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study of political representation within democratic and quasi-democratic systems, with a particular focus on how representative institutions address socially and politically marginalized populations. The journal examines the institutional, electoral, and discursive dimensions of representation as they relate to immigrants, stateless persons, religious minorities, ethnic minorities, and other marginalized social groups. Core areas of inquiry include representational inclusion and exclusion, citizenship and non-citizenship, representational claims, minority representation, and the democratic implications of representation gaps within parliaments, political parties, and electoral systems.
